WKF President, Mr Antonio Espinos gives announcement to all National Federation of some changes in WKF Calendar 2022 as below.
Dear WKF National Federations,
Attached you will find the most up to date WKF Calendar for 2022, once our first WKF events, the Youth League in Acapulco (Mexico) and the Series A in Pamplona (Spain) have taken place.
There have been a few changes and updates to the hosts and dates of some events. However, we want to assure you that, although this is not fully evitable in the current times, the WKF still continues working intensely with the primary objective of holding the activities and also to keep the initial dates as much as possible to minimise the impact. However, we would like to ask for your understanding, as this will not always be possible – the pandemic is still causing many direct and indirect challenges and it is nowadays sometimes just not feasible to go ahead as planned in the medium and long term. There may be further changes in venues and dates, although we repeat that will try to keep the dates as first priority and the venues as well.
With regards to the Series A in Salzburg (Austria), please note that the event will finally not take place in Salzburg and has been cancelled due to circumstances beyond our reach. However, this Series A leg has been replaced so that there are now still 4 Series A events throughout the 2022 season.
We will keep the events calendar on our website updated and therefore invite you to keep on regularly check on this page for most recent status.
